Who are we?

Education in economics and agriculture has a long tradition in Rakovník, and starting from September 1, 2025, the newly established Masaryk Business and Agricultural Academy Rakovník will successfully continue in this tradition. Economics programs have been taught in our school building since 1929.

What is our goal?

Our aim is to educate active, knowledgeable, independent, and confident young people who can succeed not only in their profession but also in their personal life. Graduates find employment in banking, accounting, marketing, public administration, sports clubs, environmental organizations, animal breeding, agricultural businesses, and in their own entrepreneurship. They are also well prepared for further studies at universities and higher vocational schools.

What makes us different from others?

We are the only secondary school in the Rakovník region that teaches Law with such a high number of lessons. We also teach other subjects that support preparation for law school: Social Sciences, History, and Media Communication. That is why students interested in studying law should choose our school as the best preparation for their future careers as lawyers, attorneys, judges, or notaries.
We understand how important language preparation is today, so we have long-term cooperation with a partner school in Germany. We organize annual exchange programs and students stay in Germany and England. At our school, students can attend Cambridge English courses, we teach using the CLIL method, and offer the subject Business English.

We also place great emphasis on mathematics and financial literacy. To prepare students for the state final exams and entrance exams for economics universities, we have increased the number of mathematics lessons. For higher grades we offer Mathematical Exercises, Mathematics Seminar, and from the first year the subject Economic Calculations is included. ICT is also an integral part of all subjects.
To give our graduates an advantage in adult life, we lead students systematically toward entrepreneurship, responsibility, and teamwork. We also emphasize politeness, ethics, social awareness, and a healthy lifestyle. That is why we organize project days, seminars, lectures, discussions, excursions, and encourage participation in various competitions.

Agricultural practice takes place on local ranches, in Protected Landscape Areas, zoos, and botanical gardens. Students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in hippotherapy, canistherapy, and breeding exotic animals.
Even though we are not a sports school, we offer a wide range of sports activities and have excellent sports facilities. The school holds year-round sports competitions, students go on adaptation, skiing and canoeing courses, sports matches, and first aid training. That is why even athletically gifted young people feel comfortable with us.

In addition, we engage in charity activities such as selling gifts for the “Heart Days” event, cooperating with the Ráček Home and the Nursing Home in Rakovník. We also care for the environment by recycling, cleaning the banks of the Rakovník stream and the school surroundings, and by promoting ecological behavior.
